Red Sox are dire. The starting pitching fucking sucks. I thought once the whole beer and chicken deal came out that they should get all new starting pitching. That’s a lot easier said than done. It’s actually really hard to find a new rotation, but the red sox did have their chances in the off season but swindled it all away. I stopped liking Josh Beckett in mid 2010 and went on to 2011 now I have no patience for him. I started to not like Jon Lester in 2011, when he started to remind me of Josh Beckett.
And Clay. He was injured for a good part of last season and that might be why he’s getting off to a slow start but I don’t have much faith that he’ll start to do better.
Adrian had a terrible day and I think a day off for him is needed. His defense is fine but he is not seeing the ball well at all. Day off.
I think Youkilis might be done. He can’t stay healthy for very long and Will Middlebrooks is really making a good case for himself. I thought this at the end of last season too. I like Youkilis but his time was going to be done eventually.
If I were a baseball player my walk up song would be Blood and Thunder by Mastodon. Starting where it’s just the instrumental part and then going into Troy Sanders singing “split your lungs with blood and thunder” it’s not as morbid as you think. It’s a concept album about the book Moby Dick.
If you were a baseball player what would your walk up song be?
Friday I finally went to the new Sephora that opened. I didn’t have a game plan when I went there, only knowing I wanted to get something. Not a good idea. I wandered around for a while trying to figure out what I wanted. I was asked by so many employers if I was doing ok, of course I said yes. I ended up buying Korres concealer and Fairy Drops mascara, which I have been dying to try. I think I also found the concealer I like and will use for a while.
I know going to Sephora and buying things there, I broke my new rule in using only all natural and organic products. And since I started using all organic products, my skin couldn’t be softer, or my hair. I can’t tell you how many shampoos I’ve been through and nothing really worked as well as I thought it did. I’ve been using Neuma shampoo. It’s pricey, it cost me almost $50 for both the conditioner and shampoo but it seriously is good stuff. And for my face I’ve been using Aubrey Organics, my face is soooo soft, it’s taking a while for my acne to clear up but it is clearing up.
I used Proactiv as my face regime and it did work for a few years then my face started to dry up really bad and I started to break out again. I tried using Proactiv’s moisturizers but they really didn’t work. Also as this time I was starting to realize what kind of things are put into the products we use and I stopped using Proactiv. Also it got to be too expensive. What I use from Aubrey Organics is the combination dry skin products and an aminio derm gel (think that’s what it is called) for all skin types. I just started using the gel but it’s been working really good so far. My face is smoother than before. It was never this soft when I used Proactiv.
The weekend on a personal level was fine, went on a tiny shopping spree. Bought some stuff from Aubrey Organics and jeans. But for sports for me personally was way too disappointing. Glad the Red Sox game was postponed, maybe a little nap for all of them will help. Tomorrow, finally, is the Heritage/Hunter tour concert at the Fillmore in Denver. I can’t wait!
